IFGN Film School: Old Hollywood In Decline, Part 1


Part One in a film series which focuses on creating motion pictures both inside and outside 
the Hollywood studio system. For educational and instructional purposes. 

Old Hollywood declined due to a combination of factors, including the breakup of the studio system after the 1948 Paramount antitrust ruling, the rise of television, and changing audience tastes. This collapse led to a period of instability, though Hollywood has since adapted through new eras like "New Hollywood" and faces new challenges today, such as competition from streaming services and production moving to less expensive locations.
